Originally a simple leather drawstring bag hanging from a Highlander's belt, the sporran has been an integral part of traditional Highland dress for centuries. Although today's sporrans are typically more ornate, they serve the same purpose as a means to carry small, everyday items.
Introducing the Celtic Shield Hunting Sporran! Made of premium leathers, the one pictured is made of Acorn and British Tan finishes. Hand-stitched with Ritza Tiger thread, the sporran and chain are adorned with quality metal hardware. My sporrans are unique in that they have a phone slip on the back, and card pockets and a change purse inside.
This is a custom piece and can be made with a wide variety of leather colours, Celtic knotwork and hardware finish.
My sporrans, like all my leather goods, are all hand cut, embellished and stitched by hand. I use only high-quality, full-grain leather and higher-quality hardware than most other sporran makers; heavier chain, brass roller buckles, two belt stays and thicker leather belt straps.
